Intense Pulse Light (IPL)

Intense Pulse Light (IPL) is the next generation of technology, a step beyond laser. Intense Pulse Light is a computer-controlled system which emits a broad spectrum of light wavelengths.

The light source is placed on the skin to pass light through the upper layers of skin to the deeper tissues where it is best used to reduce redness and promote collagen growth.

Intense Pulse Light effectively builds collagen while it reduces redness and evens the skin tone and texture on the face, neck and chest. If you have redness, even if associated with rosacea or sun damage, acne scarring or age spots, you'll see a significant improvement with Intense Pulse Light skin treatments.

How Long Does The Procedure Last?

Depending on your desired level of skin rejuvenation and the areas treated, your Intense Pulse Light treatment will last from 20 to 60 minutes. A cooling gel is appliedif any discomfort is associated with Intense Pulse Light. Most patients start to see results with the first treatment, however, 3-6 sessions are recommended for most. Generally, your skin light treatments will be scheduled at 4 to 6 week intervals. It is so gentle that you can return to work and wear your regular cosmetics that very same day.
